SOUTHERN OPEN BRITTANY SHOOTING DOG CLASSIC (1 HR)

For those planning to run dogs at the upcoming 2014 Southern Open
Brittany Grand Champion OLGD Classic at Burnt Branch Plantation,
Ochlocknee, GA this is how you get there:
From the north - Travel south on US Hwy 19 from Camilla, GA.
Travel ~ .6 miles into Thomas County and look for Palmer Road on
left. Turn onto Palmer Road. Travel ~ 6.5 miles and turn
left on Egg and Butter Road. Field Trial HQ will be on your
right. Look for the signs on US Hwy 19 and Egg and Butter Road
for turns.
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase each day of the event at ~$7.00 each.

COURSES AND BIRDS
All
stakes single course, with native game birds and released Quail
except Puppy.
Firearms: Blank Guns & Ammunition in accordance with AKC
guidelines.
A blank cartridge will NOT be fired in Open Puppy stake. |
Tracking
Collars: Permitted in accordance with AKC guidelines.
Horseback handling permitted in all stakes. Walking handlers are
permitted and encouraged in all horseback stakes. Wrangler available.
Bitches in season may compete in the last brace of the day.

FLEXIBLE FORMAT:
This trial is being run under the flexible format option and the club
reserves the right to rearrange the running order of the stakes and add
/ rearrange judges if conditions warrant. |
DIRECTIONS:
From Atlanta - Take I-20 East, take exit 172 (US-78/GA-17), follow
GA-17 approx. 22 miles, turn Right onto S. Main Street (US-1/GA-17) -
go approx 15 miles, turn left onto GA-17 - go approx.12 miles, turn
slight left to stay on GA-17 - go approx. 10 miles, turn left onto
Herndon Road, go approx 5 miles - DiLane Plantation will be on the
left. Watch for Field Trial signs along the way to assist with
directions.
From Savannah - Take I-16 West to exit 116 toward Statesboro / Claxton,
turn Right on on to US-301, go 9 miles, turn Left on US-25 Bypass, go 5
miles, turn left onto US-80, continue approx. 26 miles, turn left onto
GA-17, go 1 miles, turn slight Right onto Old Louisville Road, go
approx. 10 miles, turn Right onto Herndon Road. Watch for Field Trial
signs along the way to assist with directions.

Overnight camping is allowed on the grounds in designated areas. There
are limited electrical hook-ups available on the grounds.
ALL VEHICLES MUST BE OFF THE PROPERTY BY NOON THE DAY AFTER CONCLUSION.
Water hookups and showers are available on the grounds. |
HORSES
A WRANGLER WILL BE PRESENT TO RENT HORSES
Stall rentals are $5/night and includes daily cleaning
Stall rental fees must be paid with entry fees
PLEASE TRAVEL WITH CURRENT HEALTH RECORDS ON ALL ANIMALS AND NEGATIVE
COGGINS TESTS ON HORSES, AS REQUIRED BY LAW. |

Participation in the trial, either through entering or observance of
the trial constitutes a waiver of liability to the Georgia Brittany
Club, its officers, directors, and members, i.e., they are in no way
responsible and cannot be
held liable for any accidents involving anyone attending the trial,

Participants
are expected to clean up after themselves and their animals. This
includes filling in any holes that their animals create, spreading /
removing horse manure, removing left over hay, picking up and removing
dog waste, and generally cleaning up their area before leaving. |

like that used by the Dual Brittany list,
that we will be using for club member announcements and discussions.
The service is absolutely free and your joining will not obligate you
to participate. There are a number of services that the Yahoo Group
format will give us including a place that you can
- Post pictures
- Take a poll of the membership
- Share files with the club members
- Ask questions of the membership
Membership is ONLY for club members and club member friends. Yahoo will
